LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) - Communities across the region celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in honor of the national holiday. It would have been Dr. King's 95th birthday. The celebration at Lafayette's MLK Center lasted all day with various events. Organizers of this year's gathering focused on creating opportunities while meeting challenges.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) — Lafayette Consolidated Government is no longer moving forward with plans to relocate city court to the old Lemoine building on Jefferson Street. News15 Investigates has learned the Blanco Boulet administration is moving in a different direction. We've reached out to the Blanco Boulet administration for comment. We'll keep you posted when we hear back. "Fiscally, it was not the right move," said Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux, who represents downtown.
