MARTIN, Mich. — It's the time of year for sunflowers to start blooming. The popular and brightly colored flowers are already showing their colors across West Michigan at several farms in the area, including one that’s tucked away in a small town. It’s called B5 Ranch and it's located at 576, 116th Avenue in Martin. "When people come here and they walk back out of this field with the biggest smiles, and especially kids, and they're super happy, it's so cool,” Amy Bender said.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — Richard Jones and his girlfriend Samantha McMurray are overjoyed to be walking and riding on the beach together for the first time, thanks to a free beach wheelchair rental provided by the City of Muskegon and the Department of Public Works. "The track chair opens up opportunities, it gives people a chance to see there is a chance that they can go out on the beach and can live a normal life,” Richard Jones said.

Trump and his new running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance. “We’ll be waiting for hours so we packed our snacks, we're here, we really want to see Trump and Vance,” said Shelby native Kathleen Smilie. Exactly one week since the assassination attempt against the former president in Pennsylvania, supporters said they're excited to see him.

ROCKFORD, Mich. — It’s been six weeks since Mishael Wise has seen or heard from her 17-year-old daughter Penelope “Penny” Wise. Mishael said she wants what she wishes was a nightmare, to end. "It's something you just wouldn't even want to happen to your worst enemy, it's a nightmare,” Mishael said. According to police, the 17-year-old left her Cedar Springs home on foot around 6 p.m. on May 31 after a disagreement.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) and other public safety agencies partnered with Hope Network to provide mental health training for first responders. Officers said the training is more important than ever. "Anybody that deals with the general public in any capacity could benefit from this,” GRPD officer Ray Erickson said.
