Inflation might be showing signs of cooling down nationwide, but Hoboken is citing it as the reason why city residents, businesses and visitors could see their fees for garage and parking fees increase as much as $108 a year. A Hoboken waterfront restaurant is expected to win city approval for five more years, but is planning to downscale from a high-end eatery to a cafe-style establishment after facing criticism it’s too pricey for a public park and potentially running afoul of state regulations. The Hoboken City Council will vote Wednesday on approving a new lease agreement for Blue Eyes to operate at the Sinatra Park cafe building for five years, with the option to extend it for another five years.
