    Family of Faith United Methodist Church in Akron is offering a Good Friday experience, inviting participants to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice as well as issues of justice and capital punishment. The Stations of the Cross, a series of 14 images portraying the last moments of Jesus’ life, will be on display from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18. Inmates on death row in Tennessee painted the original images over a two-month span around 2018.

The workers on the fourth floor of Plant 3 weren’t exactly Rosie the Riveters. They were more like Millie the Maskers or Gertie the Gassers. In May 1940, the U.S. government announced “educational orders” for private companies to produce 1 million gas masks for civilian use.
