An Orangeburg woman is accused of driving two murder suspects away from the parking lor where 34-year-old Samson Green was shot and killed. Gunmen shot and killed Green on April 18 in the parking lot of the Crown Inn motel. It’s located at 2805 Bamberg Road outside Orangeburg. Ke’Zia Tiyonnie Bantan, 24, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office deputies took her into custody on Friday.

A sinkhole on Interstate 26 has been patched, allowing traffic to once again flow smoothly. The sinkhole was discovered Thursday afternoon around mile marker 121 on I-26 east in the Sandy Run area of Calhoun County. The sinkhole led to the closure of two lanes of I-26 east, which has three lanes at that location.

Orangeburg County Sheriff’s OfficeA 16-year-old male was shot outside Orangeburg, according to a sheriff’s office incident report. The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. April 26 in the 600 block of Kings Road. A neighbor called 911 after she saw the teen on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. There was blood on the sidewalk, according to the incident report. Someone took the teen to MUSC Health-Orangeburg before emergency responders arrived at the scene.

A now-former Calhoun County School District bus aide is accused of slapping an 11-year-old on the back of his head “loud enough for other employees to hear.”She’s told authorities that it didn’t happen, according to a Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office incident report. Terebia Jacquetta Glover, 49, of Stabler Farm Road, St. Matthews is charged with unlawfully placing a child at risk. The incident report states the child is a special needs student.
