NORMAL — Normal will close College Avenue from Anderson Park to Main Street from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, July 20, for the Normal Stride & Ride. Normal Stride & Ride is an open streets event that promotes healthy lifestyle by encouraging the community to walk, jog and bike the avenue. The effort is a collaboration between the town and local groups including Bike Blo-No and Friends of Constitution Trail.

NORMAL — Starting at 6 a.m. Monday, Chippewa Street in the Savannah Green subdivision between Redman and Henry streets will be closed for reconstruction. This effort is part of the Town of Normal's continued work to rehabilitate and upgrade the streets and alleys in the Savannah Green subdivision. Garbage and recycling pickup will continue being collected from the alleys as usual.
