4Creative’s managing director Katie Jackson has been named interim CMO at Channel 4 as the business looks for a permanent replacement for Zaid Al-Qassab. Channel 4 has appointed Katie Jackson as the broadcaster’s interim CMO following predecessor Zaid Al-Qassab’s departure from the business. Jackson took over the role on 4 March, leaving her post as 4Creative’s managing director – a role she held since July 2022. As interim CMO, Jackson will report to CEO Alex Mahon.

Domino’s has admitted trading in January was “slow”, in part because it “tactically held back on marketing spend” to allow it to support “more strategic” launches later in the year. The pizza chain is about to begin the phased rollout of its loyalty scheme, as well as introducing a value-based lunch deal as it looks to drive repeat business and appeal to consumers across more occasions.

The Asahi business is looking to go back to basics, including innovation and consistently activating its brands, to drive growth this year. The company, which owns the likes of Grolsch and Peroni, as well as Asahi, is, like every other business, hungrily pursuing growth. Speaking to Marketing Week, Asahi CMO Grant McKenzie says that 2023 was something of an “abnormal” year for the business.
