ITHACA, N.Y. — Tompkins County Legislator Lee Shurtleff will run for re-election this year to vie for another four years representing Groton and parts of Lansing and Dryden in District 9. Shurtleff, who works as a funeral director, was first elected in 2021. Prior to that, he worked as the Tompkins County Election Commissioner and the director of the Tompkins County Department of Emergency Response before retiring in 2020.
