Updated 7:15 a.m. Nov. 6With 685 out of 700 Election Day voting centers reporting Election Day results in Harris County, Rodney Ellis has been re-elected as Harris County's commissioner for Precinct 1. Ellis, a Democrat, more than doubled the vote count of his opponent, Republican Gerry Vander-Lyn. Ellis has garnered 255,887 votes to Vander-Lyn's 101,913, according to unofficial results from the Harris County Clerk's Office.

Updated 10:40 a.m. Nov. 6With all Harris County voting centers now reporting Election Day results, both bond propositions saw little change from the previous update. Proposition A received 6,395 votes for and 3,093 votes against. Proposition B garnered 6,320 votes for and 3,081 votes against. "On Nov. 5, 2024, the Bellaire community confirmed its commitment to address drainage in our town," Bellaire Mayor Gus Pappas said via text message.
