KJ Deriso, a 2026 three-star defensive back from Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Ga., announced his commitment to the Spartans via social media on Friday. Michigan State landed three-star linebacker Braylon Hodge on Sunday and flipped three-star defensive back Brayden Thomas from Iowa State on Monday.

    Brenda Tracy, whose allegations of sexual harassment led to the firing of Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker, is suing the university’s Board of Trustees and two sitting members. Tracy, a rape survivor and activist, filed a federal lawsuit against trustees Rema Vassar and Dennis Denno, along with the board itself, on Tuesday while saying they were responsible for leaking her identity and forcing her to go public with allegations against Tucker.

J Batt is leaving his job as Georgia Tech’s athletic director for the same role with the Spartans, university president Kevin Guskiewicz announced on Monday. Although Batt and Guskiewicz were at North Carolina at the same time, Michigan State hasn’t hired an AD without university ties since 1995.
