The Scottsbluff Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Panhandle Humane Society. The Dog Jog, "a paw-itively fun" 5K, will be held on April 26, starting at 10 a.m.All proceeds will benefit the Panhandle Humane Society. Registration is $25 for adults, 15 and up, and youth, ages 6-14. Participants can run or walk with or without their dog. Dogs must be on a leash. Early registration is available through April 18.

The Nebraska State Patrol has released that a 40-year-old Scottsbluff man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday. Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson Cody Thomas released that Aaron Mead died in the crash that occurred at about 11:55 a.m. on Highway 71, 11 miles north of Scottsbluff. NSP troopers received a report of a motorcycle crash on Highway 71 and responded, along with Scotts Bluff County and Sioux County deputies.
