    TRI-CITIES, Wash. - The Benton County Animal Control has made a change after the shooting of two rottweilers earlier this year by Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies. The canine shelter has expanded its staff and hours to be available when dangerous dog calls come in. The owner of the rottweilers Michelle Swanson said a big driver of the changes at the shelter has been support from the community.

    YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office posted more information today about why they euthanized 64 roosters that were initially set to go to an animal rescue in Peirce County.  The roosters were bred for cockfighting according to YCSO and were originally discovered in April during a multi-agency drug bust of the prison gang La Nuestra Familia.
