In its National Housing Report, RE/MAX, a global real estate franchisor, found that there were 2,346 new listings last month, a 45.7% increase from February which had 1,610.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- There were nine homes across Cuyahoga County that sold for at least $1 million in March, tying with February for the number of sales that topped the one-million mark. The top sales took place in Gates Mills, Rocky River, Moreland Hills, Westlake, Brecksville and Orange. At the top of the list was a 13,039 square-foot home near a ravine in Gates Mills that sold for $1.8 million.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity has made more headway on its initiative to build, restore and repair homes throughout Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. The nonprofit on Saturday presented keys to the homeowners of five new modular homes on Matherson Avenue on the city’s West Side. The homes were first installed on basement foundations in October as part of Habitat’s $33 million 400 Home Initiative to provide safe and affordable places to live, a news release said.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Two Cleveland-based nonprofits will receive state funding for affordable housing programs and essential home repairs. The Ohio Department of Development announced Wednesday it has awarded $6.8 million in grants to 19 nonprofits across the state, including Cleveland’s CHN Housing Partners and Famicos Foundation. The two nonprofits will receive a combined $800,000, a news release said.
