ITHACA, N.Y. — Spring has arrived in Ithaca, bringing with it all the normal markers: birdsong, spring flowers … and for the next few days, hundreds of nondescript brown fish the size of your arm, splashing and wriggling their way up Ithaca’s shallow creeks to spawn en masse. The county’s Board of Elections is holding its third annual sticker design contest now through May 26. As befitting this year’s slew of local elections, the designs must have a local theme and include the colors red, white and blue, according to a statement from the county.
