The event marked the start of the Hutton Settlement's "12 Days of Christmas Tree Farm Fundraiser and Market." The fundraiser features about 1,100 pre-cut trees and additional U-cut trees, all benefiting the nonprofit's programs. The city is developing more affordable housing units to support families like Michael Gardner and his son, who were the first to move into Highland Village. Gardner shared his relief upon moving into their new home. "Oh man the feeling was just overwhelming," Gardner said.
