Soccer Mommy drops the Fillmore down the rabbit holeAfter shuffling up the stairs at the Fillmore on Friday night for Soccer Mommy, the first sight for the sold-out audience was an embellished stage that seemed plucked from the pages of a Lewis Carroll novel. The tops of amplifiers were adorned in flowers while stage lights cast a mystic purple, but the focus was on a huge white oval that hung behind the instruments.

2025 in San Francisco: new year, new mayor, same mild seismic activity we know and love. The California Academy of Sciences is bringing out two baby reindeer at its Welcome Winter Night on Friday. On Friday, rapper Kamaiyah is scheduled to perform at Neck of the Woods. As always, Eli’s Mile High Club is holding its famous blues night on Monday. The 4 Star Theater is screening four David Lynch films Nov. 20-24. Bay Area indie darling Fake Fruit plays the Chapel on Friday to celebrate the release of the band’s new record. According to the flyer, attendees should come dressed as clowns.
