Share KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The new week brings warmer temperatures and pleasant conditions, at least for the first half! An active weather pattern builds in for the latter part of the week with rain and storm chances. We’ll be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with windy conditions for the rest of our evening. Temperatures fall from the 60s into the 50s. A Red Flag Warnings is in effect until 8 PM for northwestern areas due to dry and windy conditions.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -April starts off with rain showers and snow chances along with cloudy and breezy conditions. Warmer & drier days are ahead this week. SUNDAY NIGHT: Rain, thunderstorms and snow chances are possible Sunday night and into Monday morning. The chance will be scattered across the state for rain & isolated storms, isolated strong to severe storms will be possible for far southeastern areas... hail is the primary hazard.

Precipitation chances will be isolated to scattered and will not bring much accumulation potential.

A low pressure system with an associated cold front will bring the chance for morning isolated to widely scattered rain & thunderstorms for eastern areas.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The start of astronomical spring will be feeling very spring-like but the warmup will be short lived. A warm front will have lifted through the state by Tuesday morning... resulting in a mostly sunny and warm afternoon. High temperatures climb into the 60s and low 70s across the state...feelin’ very spring-like for the start of astronomical spring. Winds will be between 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Clouds start to increase as we head into the evening hours.
