    Members of La Sagrada Familia Parish have created sawdust carpets for 12 years as part of a Holy Latin American tradition. Roberto Santiago, the celebration's founder, brought the tradition back to Cleveland and helped it flourish as part of an Eagle Scout project. The tradition starts on Palm Sunday, when sawdust is colored in different colors. Then, the Church comes together to decide a theme for that year and create art pieces. Officials said it's a lot of work, but that work is the whole point.

    CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police Department recovered a body from Lake Erie on Sunday, according to Cleveland Public Information Officer Wilfredo Diaz. Police received a call to respond to 1501 N. Marginal Road about a body in the lake. The body was recovered with the help of the Coast Guard, Cleveland Fire and Cleveland EMS, Diaz said. According to Diaz, EMS pronounced the person dead at the time of recovery. The Medical Examiner has the body to determine the cause of death, Diaz said.

    The Fraternal Order of Police representing North Royalton announced Sunday that its membership had overwhelmingly approved a formal vote of no confidence in Police Chief Keith Tarase. The police union said this comes after months of concerns about the chief's leadership decisions. Members called his decisions dangerous and alleged that they have compromised officer safety, diminished public safety services and fostered a hostile work environment.

    A fire broke out on the third floor of Jack Casino's South parking garage on Ontario Avenue Saturday night, according to the Cleveland Fire Department. As of 11:25 p.m., crews were working on extinguishing the burning fire near other cars. The parking garage is right by Progressive Field and Rocket Arena. A News 5 photojournalist was on the scene and saw smoke coming from a part of the structure. It is unknown at this time how much damage was done to the building.
