TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Cochise County has filed a motion for a preliminary and permanent injunction against a business in Ramsey Canyon. The county said the property, formerly a bed and breakfast, expanded without proper permits. The county did not name the business but said it is now a “10-unit guest lodging campus, recreation center, and restaurant.”The business has allegedly been hosting weddings, parities, and other public events.

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Tucson on Thursday, April 3. Union Pacific says “a trespasser on Union Pacific property near West Grant Road and I-10 in Tucson was struck by a train and died at the scene.”Union Pacific says support is being offered to the crew, who witnessed the incident, but was not hurt. This is the second pedestrian-train accident in Tucson this year. In 2024, there were five pedestrian-train accidents in southern Arizona.

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - One man is dead, and another is facing charges following a fatal dog attack in Pima County. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said 43-year-old Kevin Renguul was attacked by five dogs in the 5000 block of West Camino Tierra early Sunday morning. The PCSD said Renguul was found in the road and transported to a hospital with critical injuries. He died on Wednesday, April 2.

NEWARK (13 News) - Duke beat Arizona 100-93 Thursday night in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Cooper Flagg, one of the top players in the country, led the Blue Devils with 30 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Caleb Love led Arizona (24-12) with a game-high 35 points and four rebounds, while Jaden Bradley added 12 points and Henri Veesaar had 13 points and six rebounds. Thursday’s game was the second meeting between the teams this season.
