GARDAI believed that Tina Satchwell was no longer a living person and had met her death by “unlawful means” after they completed a review nearly five years after she was first reported missing. Superintendent Ann Marie Twomey took over as Senior Investigating Officer in the case in August, 2021 and, along with Detective Garda David Kelleher, began going through all the material collected by Gardai since Tina was reported missing in March 2017.

AN Army chaplain stabbed by a teen has spoken of the forgiveness he showed his attacker — but accepts a “price has to be paid”. Fr Paul Murphy embraced the 17-year-old last week after he was sentenced to 10 years’ detention, with the final two years suspended.
