ONE in three people of killed or seriously injured on Irish Roads so far this year were under the age of 30, according to new Garda figures. Ahead of the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, An Garda Siochana and the Road Safety Authority are urging all road users to support their efforts to keep them and all others on the roads safe, over the Bank Holiday. Gardai say they expect more people travelling on our roads over Easter as people hit the road to visit family and loved ones.

The fight happened in front of members of the public, including childrenTWO men and a teenage boy were this morning charged in connection with the stabbing to death of father-of-six Willie Moorehouse during an "arranged" fight in a playground in front of children earlier this year. Patrick Fitzpatrick, 33, from Old Court, Bray, was charged with murdering Mr Moorehouse on January 19, 2025. He was also charged with violent disorder on the same date.

Rory became only the sixth golfer in history to complete golf’s career Grand Slam following a thrilling play-off victory at Augusta National last night. The 35-year-old, who was tipped to become a BILLION DOLLAR man over the next ten years, holed out for birdie on the 18th green during a play-off with England’s Justin Rose. He then posed with the famous trophy alongside wife Erica and daughter Poppy.
