Bowmore Wealth Group has appointed former M&G chief investment officer Jack Daniels as its new chairman. Daniels, who was a member of M&G plc’s Executive Committee, brings extensive industry experience to the role, having spent 18 years in various positions at Prudential plc before M&G’s demerger from the group. Joining him at Bowmore is Roger Ganpatsingh, who has been appointed as a non-executive director.

St James’s Place (SJP) continued to grow its network of appointed representative (AR) firms despite facing a challenging year in 2024, new research has shown. Although 206 AR firms left, 264 new ones joined – giving the wealth manager a total growth of 60 (2.2%). SJP now boasts more AR firms and advisers than the rest of the top ten networks combined. It is welcome news following controversy surrounding both its ongoing advice charges and fee structure.
