Donegal has been allocated €29.8 million for national roads and greenways this year. The allocations will be made to local authorities across the country through Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII). A total of over €440 million has been allocated to national roads and greenways nationwide.

It is hoped that many will be in attendance at a Dark Sky information night which is being held in Glencolmcille this evening. Mayo Dark Sky Officer and member of Dark Sky Ireland, Georgia MacMillan, will be present to answer questions and to guide the discussion. In 2022, dark skies accreditation was being sought in order to attract star gazers to the picturesque area. It was hoped that Glencolmcille could become a dark skies park.

Bruce Springsteen fans will be delighted to hear that a truly unique Bruce Springteen Festival is planned to take place on Tory Island this May 5. The legendary Tory Island Club is instrumental in organising this unique event which marks the first-ever Bruce Springsteen fan festival in Ireland. The festival will see The Human Touch: Ireland's top Bruce Springsteen tribute band, known for their riveting performances and spot-on renditions of your favorite Boss classics.
