    DAVENPORT, Iowa — A downtown Davenport business is closing its doors after five years. Cavort Libations and Bites, located at 229 North Brady Street, announced on Facebook Monday that it will be closing later this year. "Cavort Libations & Bites has had a wonderful 5 years in Downtown Davenport, but ultimately too many changes have led us to our decision to close," the post reads. Staff said they will continue serving drinks and small eats until they aren't able to.

    ROCK FALLS, Ill. — Two people were taken to the hospital, with one of them being airlifted to Rockford, following a house fire Sunday night in Rock Falls. According to Fire Chief Ken Wolf, Sterling and Rock Falls first responders were dispatched to a reported house fire and possible explosion in the 200 block of Avenue D in Rock Falls. Crews got to the scene just before 9:45 p.m.  Upon arrival, fire could be seen coming out of several windows of the one-story, single-family home.

    KNOX COUNTY, Ill. — Knox County officials are investigating a crash that killed one person on Sunday evening. According to the sheriff's office, around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, a tan 2017 Chevrolet hatchback was traveling east along Illinois Route 167 when it left the roadway and struck an object in the ditch, causing the airbags to deploy. The crash happened near Knox Road 1650 East, just west of Victoria. The driver was found dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

    CLINTON COUNTY, Iowa — A baby owl is recovering after being rescued in Clinton County. The bird was rescued along Highway 30 by a Good Samaritan who then brought it to the Clinton County Conservation group. It's believed the owl is at the branching stage of its life where it's just now starting to venture beyond the nest. The group thinks it was shaken from its tree during the overnight storms Tuesday into Wednesday.
