WATERLOO, Iowa — Two people are recovering after they were shot Sunday in Waterloo. First responders were called to 219 Lafayette Street just before 2:30pm. First responders learned of a second shooting victim who was taken to a local hospital by private vehicle. Detectives and lab personnel have been called in to assist with the investigation.

BRANDON, Iowa — An 18-year-old Milwaukee man wanted for first-degree intentional homicide was arrested during a traffic stop in Buchanan County late Friday night. A Buchanan County Sheriff's Deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding near Main Street and Branard Street in Brandon at approximately 11:55 p.m. During the stop, deputies detected the odor of a controlled substance and checked the occupants' personal information.

PALO, Iowa — Firefighters in Palo managed to save a detached garage that caught fire overnight. Crews were called to the detached garage along Chain Bridge Road around 1:50am Sunday. When they arrived they found smoke and flames showing from the two-stall garage. Crews were able to quickly put out the flames, leaving just minimal damage to the garage. No one was hurt.

BRIGHTON, Iowa — One person is dead and another recovering after a rollover crash near Brighton in Washington County. The Iowa State Patrol tells Iowa's News Now they were called to the scene just before 4:00pm Saturday. When they arrived, they found the car had failed to maintain control around a curve, leaving the road and rolling several times. The driver, whose name was not released, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — Authorities rescued two teens and a dog from the frigid waters of Coralville Lake. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office says they were called to the lake shortly after 6:30am Saturday. The two boys, ages 17 and 18, were duck hinting with their dog when one of the boys' waders started taking on water. He was unable to get in the canoe they were using to deploy decoys. Two rescue boats were launched, and first responders rescued the two boys and their dog.

Dr. Fauci did not impose mandates on anyone. Like all government public servants, he made recommendations, many of which millions ignored, and we lost too many as a result. Good accountability comes in identifying a problem and fixing it, not shutting down everything.
