SPOKANE, Wash. — After eliminating Vancouver in five games in the opening round of the Western Hockey League playoffs, the Chiefs got to spend the last week resting and practicing up for their Western semi-final series with the B.C. Division champion Victoria Royals. Spokane had won 3 of 4 from the Royals this season, including sweeping two games in Victoria the first weekend of March. The Royals, meantime, had also won their first round series in 5 games as they took out the Tri City Americans.

SPOKANE, Wash. — After winning the first two games of their best-of-seven opening-round playoff series in Vancouver last weekend, the Spokane Chiefs returned home with the enviable task of having to win just two out of three games on their home ice to close out the Giants and advance to Round Two of the Western Conference playoffs. Spokane had won the first two games by a combined 11-6 but had surrendered five of those goals in the final period of game two.

SPOKANE, Wash — It doesn't seem like 6 months ago the Chiefs started off the 2024-25 regular season, but here we are in late March and Spokane was wrapping up their most successful campaign in over a decade. The club had clinched the 3rd seed in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs and had the opportunity to secure the second best record in the West and home ice through the second round with one victory in their final 2 regular season contests.
