Sydney Wathen, Dakota State University, Volleyball Sydney Wathen signed a letter of intent on April 9 to play volleyball at Dakota State University in Madison. Wathen started playing volleyball in the sixth grade. She played outside hitter for a Stevens team that finished 23-15 this past season.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The ProRodeo Hall of Fame announced Tuesday its class of inductees for 2025. This year's class features ten individuals including former saddle bronc rider Tom Miller from South Dakota. Miller was born in Rapid City and grew up on the family ranch south of Faith. He later attended Black Hills State College in Spearfish where he was a member of the rodeo team.

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. - The high school track and field season continued Wednesday with the 24th Annual Center of the Nation Invite in Belle Fourche. The track meet was suppose to take place on Thursday. But it was moved up a day because of the unfavorable weather conditions expected later in the week. Checking out some books through local libraries could soon cost more than a standard library card fee. Libraries were instructed Monday to immediately suspend use of the state’s interlibrary loan courier program. The courier service transports books and other library materials across South Dakota from the libraries that have them to those that don’t, typically faster and more efficiently than would be possible though the U.S. Postal Service.
