While we’ve had a few recent days that flirted with 70 degrees, the month’s wild temperature swings make all sorts of precipitation possible. We’re several days out, but forecast models are showing the possibility of a rain/snow mix on Monday. Areas far south of Chicago may even see flakes on Sunday.

NW 15-25, G30 mph High near 10The extended outlook calls for the bitter cold to continue for Monday and Tuesday with highs between 5-10 degrees. Overnight lows will be sub-zero and wind chills will be dangerously cold. Frost bite can happen on exposed skin within a half hour with these kinds of conditions.
