Health officials in DuPage County announced Thursday morning that West Nile Virus-positive pools of mosquitoes were collected in Roselle, Medinah, Clarendon Hills and Burr Ridge on Tuesday, May 27th. The PPI is updated each Wednesday at 3 p.m. throughout West Nile Virus (WVN) season as officials continue to collect and test mosquitoes in traps around the county.

    CHICAGO (WGN) — A stabbing attack on the city’s Southwest Side left a man dead and sparked a police investigation overnight. According to Chicago police, the incident unfolded just before 11:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of South California Avenue in Brighton Park. Officers say they believe the incident occurred after the victim, a 23-year-old man, got into an argument with a woman who was accompanied by a group.
