GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers have announced the opening dates of Training Camp, Presented By Emplify Health by Bellin. Quarterbacks, rookies, and injured players will report to Green Bay on July 18th, with veteran players reporting four days later, on July 22nd. Full-squad workouts will begin Wednesday, July 23rd at 10:30 AM at Ray Nitschke Field. Public practices will be held each day through Friday.

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — If Wausau Mayor Doug Diny has it his way, he will work himself out of a job. Speaking with reporters before a tour of the progress on the Foundry on 3rd Development, Diny says he envisions moving the city to a Manger-Council form of Government. “The Mayor would go away. There wouldn’t be one. By the time I’m done, I might likely be the last Mayor.”That would mean staff reporting directly to the City Manager, who would serve as the chief executive officer.

TOWN OF NOKOMIS, WI (WSAU) — A Rhinelander man was injured in a rollover crash on Oneida County Road K Wednesday evening. Officers received numerous reports of a rollover involving a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette that was traveling west in the Town of Nokomis when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle into the north ditch. One witness said the driver had passed them at “a high rate of speed” just before the crash. Investigators identified the driver as a 20-year-old Gabriel M. Wallmow.
