Jesse Yanske was last seen near Fawn Avenue and State Highway 13 in Taylor County, and there is concern for his safety. Residents in the area should check their trail cameras and security cameras for any signs of Yankse. He is described as 6’3″, 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Officers did not provide a description of his clothing.

MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Court records show an arrest warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old Milwaukee man who walked away from the Lincoln County Jail last week. David Brown was released for a job interview on May 1st and did not return to jail. When officers called the potential employer, they confirmed he did not attend the interview. Brown has been in jail on battery charges and is now facing a felony count for escaping criminal arrest. A warrant was issued for him on May 6th.

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man accused of his 5th OWI has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Matthew Corp entered the plea on Wednesday and was bound over for trial. The 60-year-old is accused of driving drunk in a residential neighborhood on Saturday, April 26th, nearly striking a child as he was doing so. He then stopped and threatened to shoot another group of people, leaving the scene before police arrived. Officers managed to catch up to him a short time later.

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau’s Rules Review Committee has shelved a proposal to restrict signage at all official city meetings but will continue to craft statements to be attached to agendas and read at the start of all public comment periods. Alders agreed that restricting signs in the Council Chambers would amount to a restriction of free speech. “I would be hesitant to move forward,” said Committee Chair Gary Gisselman.
