It’s Round 16 of the BTK United Rugby Championship and the Vodacom Bulls will be travelling to Scotstoun. Kids will be taking over as part of the URC Kids Round theme and there will be plenty of activations for all ages across the stadium grounds. All proceeds from activations are going towards the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity as we aim to reach our target of £85,000!Gates open at 6pm for a 7.35pm kick-off.

The two U16 pro-team aligned teams will face off at Dalziel Park on Sunday in two matches. Glasgow Warriors ‘Blues’ will face Edinburgh Rugby ‘Orange’ at 12pm and Glasgow Warriors ‘Blacks’ will kick off against Edinburgh Rugby ‘Navy’ at 2pm.

Gregor Kennedy was nominated by Steven McCooey of Strathendrick Rugby Club for the work he does as Midi’s Convenor. Gregor is involved in growing the mini and midi sections of the club with making sure rugby is accessible and welcoming to all. He coaches weekly and supports with Saturday and Sunday rugby. He has recently taken over the organisation of the S1-U18 age (midi) and goes above and beyond what is expected of a volunteer.

Back Green Band confirmed to play Awards Dinner

Warriors fans will be familiar with the Back Green Band, as they often provide pre-match entertainment at Scotstoun Stadium on a game day. The dinner which will take place on Saturday 26 April, at the Hilton Glasgow, will see Glasgow Warriors celebrate the successes of the club, players and the community through several awards. The Awards dinner will also raise money for the club’s Fighting for our Families campaign for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Edinburgh kicked off and maintained possession until a penalty allowed Glasgow to kick to ball into touch. Despite a missed opportunity at the line out, Glasgow worked hard and were able to regain possession and force Edinburgh back downfield. The first try of the game came just before the six-minute mark as a rolling line-out maul got close enough for Gemma Bell to pick and go over the line. Briar McNamara slotted the ball for the extras giving Glasgow a seven-point lead.
