Scotland U20 players, Jake Shearer, Seb Stephen and Callum Smyth will all combine in the front row. Both Shearer and Smyth are involved in the Glasgow Warriors Academy with Stephen being invited to train following the U20 Six Nations. Jare Oguntibeju made his pro debut for Glasgow against the Scarlets in November 2024 and has signed his first Warriors Pro contract since. He will be joined in the pack by Ryan Burke and Mackenzzie Duncan.

Gregor Kennedy was nominated by Steven McCooey of Strathendrick Rugby Club for the work he does as Midi’s Convenor. Gregor is involved in growing the mini and midi sections of the club with making sure rugby is accessible and welcoming to all. He coaches weekly and supports with Saturday and Sunday rugby. He has recently taken over the organisation of the S1-U18 age (midi) and goes above and beyond what is expected of a volunteer.

Back Green Band confirmed to play Awards Dinner

Warriors fans will be familiar with the Back Green Band, as they often provide pre-match entertainment at Scotstoun Stadium on a game day. The dinner which will take place on Saturday 26 April, at the Hilton Glasgow, will see Glasgow Warriors celebrate the successes of the club, players and the community through several awards. The Awards dinner will also raise money for the club’s Fighting for our Families campaign for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Emma was nominated by previous winner Tyler Stevenson for the work she does at McLaren RFC. She has been involved in rugby for around 30 years as both a player and a coach, highlighting the lifelong role a sport can play in a persons life. Speaking to glasgowwarriors.org, Emma said, “I’ve been involved with rugby for 30 years, initially as a player and now as a coach at McLaren. I coach the P1-3 minis, youth and high school girls.
