Glasgow Warriors academy player Matthew Urwin kicked off in the sun to start the game. The game was back and forth rugby until around the twentieth minute when Black Lion looked as if they were going to cross the line on a kick chase break, before Facundo Cordero made a try saving tackle and took the player into touch on the corner flag. The game remained end to end with both teams failing to cross the whitewash after a physical first 40 minutes.

Angus Fraser will once more captain the A team side following the U23 victory in Treviso. Jake Shearer and Callum Norrie will head up the scrum along with Fraser. Scotland U20’s Dan Halkon and Ryan Burke combine once more in the second row. The back row will be comprised of Macenzzie Duncan, fresh from his first Glasgow start against Leinster, along with academy players Ollie Duncan and Jonny Morris.

Marr were victorious after winning their games over Oban High School and Biggar High School. This is the second time Marr have won the championship. Oban High School finished second. This is the first time Oban have made the final of the Championship. The schools competed on the main pitch at Scotstoun for the final. Once the rugby playing was over, the schools had lunch together and had a q&a with Stafford McDowall, Holland Bogan and Aicha Sutcliffe.
