ATLANTA — Noey Springer, 8, went from chanting "I kick cancer's butt every time" two years ago to wearing a shirt saying "I kicked cancer's butt" as she rang the bell, signaling the end of her cancer treatments. She rang the bell with pride at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta this week. “For her age, she has the wherewithal and understanding already of what she’s going through,” said Nick Springer, Noey’s dad.

"It runs from June 1 to the end of November, on November 30. And usually, the peak time frame is August through September and the beginning of October. It’s usually slower at the beginning of June and then slower at the end of October to November.

This week, Taylor Cheek set four new world records in squat (125kg), bench press (75kg), deadlift (137.5kg), and total weight. His coach at Big Dog Barbell told 11Alive that Cheek had a "huge day." Cheek also snagged a first-place finish in the teen 16–17-year-old division 75kg class.
