MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - Highway Patrol says a Mandan man was killed and a Bismarck man was hurt in a crash on Interstate 94 on Monday afternoon. A 44-year-old man from Mandan was driving in the wrong direction on the interstate, headed eastbound in the westbound lanes near Eckelson, when he struck a Chevrolet Traverse head-on. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the other driver suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries and was transported to a hospital.

A single mother, Black Eagle was in a tough spot when she first arrived in Bismarck from Montana with no place to live and few prospects.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A North Dakota National Guardsman’s quick actions saved a woman’s life earlier this week. U.S. Army 2nd Lt. David Hooge was driving south of Devils Lake when he noticed the car behind him swerving before the driver plunged off the road and into the water. He pulled over, grabbed a rock and ran to help. He saw that the water was rapidly filling the car and that the woman behind the wheel seemed frozen in place.
