Now, the Minot City Council has approved Michael Frye as the new man in charge. Frye currently serves as the Campus Police Chief at Bismarck State College. Before that, he was a Lieutenant with the Minneapolis Police Department, where he led units focused on civil unrest response, homeland security, and the SWAT team.

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Local organizations and businesses are gearing up to participate in the Great Plains Food Bank Packathon. The high-energy, team-based event is held every year in Fargo and Bismarck, and teams of employee volunteers are challenged to pack as many pounds of food as possible in 90-minute shifts. The Packathon in Bismarck will be at the Regional Distribution Center on June 10 and 11, bringing together 11 teams from different businesses.

STANLEY, ND (KXNET) — Two adults from Stanley were brought into custody following the death of a three-year-old girl in March. According to the Stanley Police Department, the incident took place on March 19 when a medical emergency occurred in the 300 block of Adeline Drive, for a child who was not breathing.
