Now, the Minot City Council has approved Michael Frye as the new man in charge. Frye currently serves as the Campus Police Chief at Bismarck State College. Before that, he was a Lieutenant with the Minneapolis Police Department, where he led units focused on civil unrest response, homeland security, and the SWAT team.

NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Out of 20 submitted projects, five have been approved for the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grants. The 20 applications totaled $3.9 million in fund requests, which is the largest amount ever requested in the program’s history. For the five projects, the RTP has about $1 million to award through the Federal Highway Administration.
