This season, the Medina PB Thunder Volleyball team has accomplished something it’s never done before. “It’s amazing, it’s an amazing experience,” said Cierra Mack. For the first time ever, the Medina PB Volleyball team is headed to the B. “We’re just so excited to play in the state tournament,” said Maddie Gefroh. Ask anyone on this team, and they’ll tell you it didn’t happen by accident.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFYR) - When you think of Volleyball in the Jamestown area one name comes to mind, the Hegerle family. “It’s been a huge part of our lives and it’s been a blessing in our lives,” Jon Hegerle said. “It’s maybe the vehicle God put in front of us to use the gifts that we have to impact other people.” Jon Hegerle is in his 16th season at the helm of the University of Jamestown’s women’s volleyball team. His wife Sara has been the head coach at Jamestown High School since 2011.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Dakota Marker trophy is staying with the Bison for the after #2 North Dakota State tops #1 South Dakota State 13-9 inside the Fargodome. The Bison had lost the previous five matchups against the Jackrabbits, including the previous two in Fargo. A 20-yard touchdown pass from Bison quarterback Cam Miller to Raja Nelson with under two minutes to play would give NDSU the lead for good, also giving the team an 11-10 advantage in the Dakota Marker rivalry game.
