CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Kara Hanning says May 5 was the hardest day she has ever gone through. It was a day when a mother lost her 2-year-old daughter. On May 5, around 9 am, friends contacted Kara Hanning asking if she and her daughter Adalynn Mae were okay. The friends said they heard about a murder-suicide on Mustang Circle in Keithville. The house that the friends saw on social media was Adalynn Mae’s grandparents’ house.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – North Louisiana Economic Partnership President, Justyn Dixon, was joined by members of the Shreveport Regional Airport, and leaders from the city of Shreveport and parish of Caddo to announce a new partnership. “SkyWest Airlines, the nation’s largest regional airline carrier, has selected the Shreveport Regional Airport as its newest maintenance base and facility to help support its fleet of nearly 500 regional aircraft,” said Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux.

ArtBreak is celebrating its 39th year of creativity, talent, and the arts. More than 3,000 works of visual and literary art created by students from kindergarten through 12th grade will be on display. Throughout the festival, there will be student performances and competitions, along with hands-on activities and master classes.

Caddo Parish, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Public Service Commissioner, Foster Campbell, held a press conference with representatives from SWEPCO and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) on the power outage that took place on April 26th. Campell was joined by Lanny Nickell, President and CEO of SPP, and Brett Mattison, SWEPCO President. SPP operates within a 14-state region. However, only 32,000 customers in Louisiana, primarily in Caddo and Bossier parishes, were impacted.
