An Upstate tae-kwon-do instructor appeared before a judge Wednesday, accused of sexual abuse crimes against children. 74-year-old Jimmy Anderson was arrested and was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center. Anderson, who is 74 years old, is the owner of S O C Tae-Kwon-do, Greer Tae-Kwon-Do studio, and is now facing 5 child sexual conduct charges. The bond court judge said investigators told him there may be additional charges, but didn't say what those might be.

The discussions began with an amendment to redirect funding from road maintenance to support affordable housing, but it failed in a close 5-6 vote. As the clock hits zero for councilmembers looking to file budget amendments, District 20 Councilman Steve Shaw said he's compiled a list he claims would save the county close to $4 million.
