ATLANTA - It was a tough night for the Spartans in Atlanta, but as the lights turned off at State Farm Arena, there was still a sense of hope for the future from a group of guys (and their coach) who brought Michigan State basketball back to banners and deep tournament runs. “In 30 years, I’m not sure I’ve ever been prouder of a team,” Izzo said.
