It is the latest positive move for Weymouth’s ladies, whose section of the club is growing rapidly both on and off the pitch. WEYMOUTH recorded their third-straight victory in County Division One, beating 2023 champions Witchampton by 57 runs at Crichel Park. Cube Whyte’s men remain second after collecting only three batting points, with Royal Challengers top after a crushing 226-run thrashing of Corfe Mullen. But with Weymouth having fully recovered from their opening-day loss to Witchampton, the Seasiders are buoyant. WEYMOUTH Seconds were beaten for the first time in County Division Four this season as a strong Marnhull Seconds side claimed a seven-wicket win at Redlands. Mark Gregory’s side were invited to bat first after losing the toss and were faced with a green-tinged wicket. Marnhull’s bowlers made early use of the conditions as Marcus Eaton (2-23) castled openers Andy Jeffreys (2) and Kaushikk Iyer (7).
