Saturday’s Bellport St. Patrick’s Day Parade marked the official end of the 2025 St. Patrick’s parade season on Long Island. All March long, the Greater Long Island team — led by photographer Eric Micallef — traveled across Nassau and Suffolk counties to capture the spirit and pride of Long Island’s Irish communities. The Bellport St. Patrick’s Day Parade made its long-awaited return this Saturday. The event, on hiatus since 2020 due to the pandemic, stepped off at 11 a.m., just before the rain rolled in, and marched through downtown Bellport. Led by the Bellport Fire Department, the parade began at the corner of Station Road and 2nd Street and wrapped up at the village’s four corners. This year’s grand marshal was former Bellport Mayor and current chaplain, Frank Trotta.

The hockey-themed space — complete with Islanders logos, Stanley Cup murals, and replica lockers — was officially unveiled Thursday during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
