(KEYC) - FEMA is hiring Minnesota residents to support recovery efforts after last summer’s floodingFEMA is accepting applications for 27 positions in Mankato, Bloomington, Rochester and Duluth. All applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age or older, and possess a high school diploma or GED. The job includes offering support to survivors, providing federal assistance for those in need, receive training and start a career in the federal government.

Kamp Dels in Waterville is not short of fun. Located just off Lake Sakatah, the campground offers many amenities in addition to cabins and camping, such as mini golf, an arcade, lake equipment and its very own waterpark. But one event every summer captures the attention of many camp-goers: The annual Halloween weekend.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Less than two months after a historic flood, remnants of the damage it caused still remain. Including at one of Mankato’s most prominent parks. What was once a heavily traveled park, is now almost unrecognizable. Roughly two months ago, heavy rainfall and flooding left Sibley Park caked in mud and as you can see, heavy vegetation has grown over. Some clean up has been done, such as clearing debris, the main roadway and parking area.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Southern Minnesota residents who experienced flood and other storm damage, can now apply in person at the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in Mankato. FEMA has opened a recovery center at the Blue Earth County Justice Center. Survivors can visit the location 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The state and U.S. Small Business Administration will be at the center to help survivors apply for federal disaster assistance, upload documents answer any questions and person.
