    ST. PETER, Minn. (KEYC) - St. Peter Police have issued an alert for a patient who escaped from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program. St. Peter Police say around 1:30AM Friday Beau-Jacob Edward Zimmer escaped. Zimmer is 45 years old, 6 ft tall, 188 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, black tennis shoes with bright yellow accents, and a black backpack on a black Specialized bicycle with an unknown direction of travel.

    SLEEPY EYE, Minn. (KEYC) - Two people are airlifted and four others are treated following a house fire in Sleepy Eye early Thursday morning. It happened just after 7:00 on the 700 block of 3rd Avenue NE. Authorities say when they arrived, two citizens were helping the occupants out of the house, which was fully engulfed. A 29-year-old woman and a 3-year-old boy were airlifted to the Twin Cities for treatment. The woman is listed in critical condition and the boy is listed in guarded condition.

The Mankato/North Mankato Area Planning Organization is working with the City of North Mankato to study Lee Boulevard between Lookout Drive and Belgrade Avenue. The Study will look at flood mitigation strategies, traffic flow, intersection safety as well as bike and pedestrian activity.     MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Students at one Mankato Elementary won’t have classes Thursday. Students at Kennedy Elementary have the day off due to a power outage. School officials were notified that electricity will not be restored in time to safely open the building. Right now, classes are expected to resume on Friday.
