Police in Luton have shared a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a robbery this month. Police were called to a robbery inside Iceland on Marsh Road just after 11.20am on Friday, May 2. A bottle of alcohol was stolen and a staff member was threatened during the incident. They believe the person pictured may have information. The force said: “Anyone who has any information should contact us online: https://orlo.uk/wSkLT or via 101 quoting reference 146 of 2 May.”

Hundreds of cannabis plants were seized in Dunstable after police raided a suspected drug farm this weekThe Dunstable Community Policing Team searched commercial premises in the town and arrested two people found at the scene. Inside the property were 607 cannabis plants growing in seven rooms. This was the third cannabis factory closed this week – after two more were uncovered in Luton.

A teenager from Houghton Regis is pounding the pavements as he attempts to run 100 miles before his birthday – in aid of a cancer charity. Reece Marshall will turn 16 on September 24 – but before then he is aiming to not only run 100 miles, but raise £500 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The 15-year-old already had nearly 20 miles under his belt and is determined to reach his running and fundraising goals. He explained: “I want to make a difference in people's lives.

Two men were arrested this week after police found a baton inside a vehicle linked to gun crime. An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera tracked the vehicle and police stopped it in High Street South at around 6pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 7). Inside, police found a baton and the occupants – a man in his 40s and a man in his 50s – were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and are in police custody for questioning.
