BROUSSARD, La. (Fox News) — Breweries across the country, even those in Acadiana, are feeling a little on edge after President Donald Trump enacted a 25% tariff on all imported aluminum and steel last week. Parish Brewing Company in Broussard uses aluminum from Canada to package its beers, but with these tariffs on imported metals, the owner said he's gonna have to make some changes.

A judge granted Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil’s legal team more time to review his immigration case during a hearing Friday in Louisiana. Khalil, a 30-year-old green card holder who is married to a U.S. citizen, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on March 8. He is facing possible deportation over his alleged support for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, although he has not been charged with a crime.

As a result, it was named Santa Claus instead. It's the home of a decades-old tradition of responding to letters sent to Santa.

"This is the first year that I have zero irrigation water," said Brian Jones, who has been farming near the border for almost 40 years. He's seeing a huge drop in crops because of the lack of irrigation water. Under a treaty from back in the 1940s, Mexico agreed to give a certain amount of water to the Lower Rio Grande region.
