Bosses at Glasgow Airport have revealed that Frankie and Benny's will now close the much-loved branch for good. The family-friendly New York Italian restaurant is located in the airport's departure lounge. And it was a favourite among holidaygoers for its gluten-free options, cheaper prices and delicious food.

POLICE have sealed off a path to a Scottish canal amid a major ongoing emergency incident. Cops cordoned off a path leading to Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow, blocking access to the public. Emergency crews raced to the area after the alarm was raised at around 6.30am this morning. Officers said they received reports of concern for a person who was in the water. The person was seen near Blairdardie Drive at Gorget Avenue, in the Knightswood/Blairdardie area.

Staff sent an email to parents informing them of the power failureHUNDREDS of pupils have been sent home after a Scottish school suffered a power cut this morning. However, students sitting their SQA exams have been forced to stay inside the building. Kirkcaldy High School, in Fife, announced it was "experiencing a power cut" at around 10am today. Staff sent an email to parents informing them of the power failure.
