    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Monday morning, Josh Heupel’s fourth season at the helm of Tennessee football’s program kicked off as the Vols took to the practice fields early in the morning for its first of 15 spring practices. The team looked comfortable out on the turf, but the next 15 practices are all about getting better each day to be ready for the summer. With a mix of talent and experience in the roster, Coach Heupel’s message remains the same for each group and player.

    WASHINGTON, D.C. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Lady Vols took its 18-4 record to the nation’s capital to face a Howard. The Bison also entered this game with a three-game winning streak. Tennessee’s bats were warm early, nine of its runs came in the second inning off eight runs. Laura Mealer and Giulia Koutsoyanopulos recorded two RBIs. Sophia Nugent got in on the hitting when she singled home a pair of runs. The Lady Vols led 7-0.

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Lady Vols have emphasized strengthening their mental focus and situational awareness late in games over the last few contests. It’s key component they relied on when they welcomed in the No. 1 team in the country in South Carolina. Before their Feb. 15 meeting this season, the two programs last clashed in the 2023 SEC Championship game. It was also the first time the Lady Vols played on Championship Sunday since 2015. Against the Gamecocks, they looked like they belonged.

    OXFORD, Miss. (WVLT) - Following a bye week, the Lady Vols are back in action and on the road to face the Ole Miss Rebels. A chance to get another upset victory over a top 50th-ranked team, according to the Net Rankings. Tennessee stands at No. 55 in the NCAA’s NET rankings through Jan. 25 and faces No. 49 Ole Miss on Sunday. UT’s last three wins have come vs. Florida (57), Mississippi State (32) and Vanderbilt (51).
