The final 200-point qualifying preps are set for April 5 and April 8 (a rescheduled Toyota Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland), so by this time next week, the prospective field for the May 3 Derby at Churchill Downs should be nearly finalized.

One of the most highly anticipated prep races for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve will be held Saturday at Keeneland Race Course, when a well-matched field of seven 3-year-olds compete in the 101st Toyota Blue Grass Stakes. The Blue Grass Stakes is the second most productive prep for the Kentucky Derby in that race’s 150-year history, as 23 horses exiting the Blue Grass subsequently won the Derby at Churchill Downs.
