17-year-old charged with attempted murder in Depew Dollar Tree shooting

DEPEW, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder in connection to an alleged shooting in a Dollar Tree parking lot in Depew on Wednesday night, police said Thursday morning. Depew police responded to the store, located on Broadway, around 6:15 p.m. A 20-year-old female had been shot multiple times in the parking lot. The woman was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. Lancaster police were also seen on scene. The suspect fled the scene.

Her intent to retire letter will be submitted at a school board meeting Wednesday evening, she said during a press conference Wednesday. School Board President Dr. Kathy Evans-Brown said they will accept the letter. June 30 will be Williams-Knight’s last day. The school board is hoping to name a new superintendent in March.

Dragonette says the stress of the past two years has been crushing as flammable water flows through her home.
