Brad Daugs' wife, Amber, temporarily closed the restaurant to care for him and manage the Grow It Forward food pantry. The restaurant will operate with modified hours initially and plans to expand as staffing allows.

The S.S. Badger car ferry kicks off its 2025 sailing season May 16 with a celebration in Manitowoc. The ferry recently underwent repairs at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay. The Badger will operate between Ludington and Manitowoc from May 16 to Oct. 12, with shoreline cruises also offered. Opening-day festivities include entertainment, food trucks and special guests.
