Kildare County Council has no plans to put up ‘No E-Scooters’ signs on footpaths and other areas used by pedestrians in Naas. Independent councillor Seamie Moore told a Naas Municipal District committee meeting that some e scooter users is “a new form of joyriding” and pedestrians have been knocked down.

Kildare County Council has received a grant of €202,000 to be spent on putting up new speed limit signs. The reclassification of local roads from a default speed limit of 80 km/h to 60 km/h was completed in 2024 with the removal of some special speed limits, which were revoked in early 2025.
