A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed outside a pub. The 24 year old victim suffered a stab wound to his side following a dispute with three other men. Police said one of the men was donning a balaclava. Emergency services descended on the Glasshouse, on Lord Street in Southport, at around 7.40pm on Friday night (February 21) following reports of a stabbing incident. Authorities have confirmed that the victim was taken to hospital and his injuries are described as 'not serious'.

A dad from Liverpool has been left 'distraught' after a tree fell on his taxi during Storm Darragh. Garry Gregory, 40 from Huyton, had been home for 10 minutes after finishing an airport run. The father-of-two heard a bang at around 2pm this afternoon (December 7) when he discovered that a tree had fallen on his taxi outside his home on Cromford Road. Photos sent by Mr Gregory to the Liverpool Echo shows the extent of the damage caused by the tree.

A man has been found dead near a railway station. The tragic incident on the tracks this morning has led to widespread disruption with lines closed as a result. British Transport Police (BTP) said they were called to Southport shortly before 9am today (November 23) following reports of a 'casualty on the tracks'. Paramedics also attended police confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A heartbreaking final picture of a toddler taken just minutes before his tragic death has been released by his devastated family. Carter Walsh died when a fireplace fell on him in his family home.
